โA lovely historic hotel in an excellent location. We were given the โCharles I bedroomโ, with a lovely four poster bed. Apparently he stopped at the Red Lion for a drink during the Civil War. Live music in the beer garden at the front on Friday evening. Good food and pleasant staff.โ
โGerrards Cross is basically small town. You can't expect much on small but cozy hotel. Anyway, there are some part of the room have a room for improvement, but not bad.โ
โIt's a cosy and convenient place for visit to Brunel. Stay only no food options though there are walkable places. Make sure you call them if you are reaching late, they will come and check you inโ
โWe had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had air conditioningโwhich was a lifesaver with the high temperatures in London this weekend. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The location is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. There's on-site parking available for ยฃ20, but we found free parking just outside the hotel as well.โ
โAdditional ยฃ10 per night for car park, but you can park for free on the street just after corner, no more than 50m from hotel door.
For me it is very unfair, I agreed with my boss this sum for hotel and I donโt have funds for extra ยฃ40 for parking.
Condition of hotel is bad, it was not possible to lock the window and the gap was bigger than my finger. โ
Wow! โ
โThe low cost was the main attraction. It is literally a room in someones house but we were made very welcome. Be prepared to take off your shoes on entry. I had been traveling for many hours so my feet were nit quits fresh. The bed is very comfortable. The pool and spa is 1.5 miles away in a leisure centre so we didnโt botherโ
