“The location on the water was the best part of this inn. The view from the room was beautiful. The three star rating is due to the amenities. The pool water was freezing cold, the hallway smelled of smoke (there were people smoking in their rooms and the smell came into the hallway) and the stairs to the room were steep and hard to carry luggage down. The room itself was clean.”

“We were a group of friends experiencing the beautiful ATV trails for the weekend. We were met with a smile by the hotel staff, we felt so welcomed and they were very accommodating. The hotel is impeccably clean, comfortable and breakfast the next morning was perfect. We were provided with extra coffee and snacks for our long trip back. We definitely will be returning and will send people their way. The hospitality was beyond what I have ever experienced, even in large hotels.”

“We’ve been here a couple of times over the past decade. While it is always clean, we’re not seeing a lot of changes or upgrades along the way. The room (35) was dark due to the heavy, dark, old fashioned bedspreads, and matching drapes. The older style lamp next to the bed has a three- way but has just a single level LED bulb, just barely adequate for reading. The bathroom has multiple defects in the paint. The toilet is VERY low and difficult to access. The dated TV worked in the evening...

“My stay was like a visit with old friends. The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating, and the historic house was intriguing. My room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was sumptuous. I wish I could have stayed longer!”

“A man came out and never introduced himself. Asked who I was and if I had a reservation. Asked for my card number, then said “key in the room”. This was my only contact. There was 1 lamp that didn’t light up the room. There was a ceiling light but in the evening over the bed it wasn’t a good choice. So we left the bathroom light on. There was a bucket under the bathroom sink to catch water. However, the room was clean, the bed was clean, the water was hot and the shower head was nice. So if you...

“It’s a charming place full of character! It is not a new hotel but it’s wonderful to look out your room door to a little garden and the deer passing through! Quiet and relaxing with a cottage like feel! We will definitely be back!!!!!”
