“Old wooden building, so floors to rooms upstairs creaked. Only a few rooms (six, I think) on the upper floor. The Drug Store downstairs itself is closed (and currently for sale), so no breakfast. HOWEVER, the store was furnished with a full pool table, table tennis, and foosball, plus all the furnishings of the business. “I love this place. We had the place to ourselves. Hot tub and pool were excellent. Bunkhouse 1 bed is comfy. Bathroom is nice and upgraded. Don’t bother with the fireplace. There were roach poops all over the shower floor and intermittently spread in the corners mainly but didn’t see any cockroaches (it’s Texas and they’re everywhere) so we washed them down the drain using the hand-held shower head and wore our flip flops when walking around inside. “Very nice place, a bit difficult to find. You have to go up a non maintained dirt road. AC in the room is a bit small. Otherwise a really nice place.”

“Everything was perfect. The only thing was that I’m 6 ft tall and the shower is kind of small, but over all, you can enjoy the place and the cure little town. Thank you!”

“Excellent location on the Main Street in town. Room was very spacious, clean had a nice courtyard. Nice amenities and comfortable bed & pillows. Very close to Davis Mountains State Park where we enjoyed hiking two days. Wish more of the restaurants, shops and coffeehouses were open.”
