"Very good, no-frills hotel with excellent service"

"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The facilities are nice. The location is great, a short walk to the beach and all of the activities, but set up the hill away from all the noisiness of the beach and the clubs at the beach.The staff was amazing and very accommodating. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip to the area. My only one small issue was that food and mini bar items can’t be paid for with credit card at the end of the stay, it has to be cash, which was not initially stated, so make sure you have enough cash or are able to use one of the local electronic payment types. Overall, I think this is one of the best accommodations in the Nosy Be area."

"Absolutely amazing!! Female solo traveler. There is a store right across the street with cheap beer and liquor. But if not the hotel literally sells everything you need. Jacquisse & miora are the best staff you have. Very knowledge and English is great. We had many girl time talks and they’re hilarious. There are also people that come from the beach everyday offering boat rides and hair braiding, etc. I ended up doing both. Rooms are extremely clean. No bugs, nothing is dirty, soap shampoo and hair dryer in room. The room has great AC unit. You have two front doors for extra safety and keeps the cold air in. My flight actually got canceled so they accommodated me an extra night with a nice discount. My only downfall was the restaurant. I was hoping for more Malagasy food. The restaurant had a lot of American cuisine. And they ran out of eggs often for breakfast, there no pork or meat for breakfast. But zebu/ chicken with bechamel sauce is good option for lunch. Cannot go wrong for crepes either. Other than that amazing !! To get a taxi just stand outside the resort and wave down a tuk tuk or push push. And they will help you asap. Wish I had more time here. "The resort was beautiful. The beach, the pool were fantastic and the rooms were good. They offered some good excursions and the kids club team were great with our daughter. On the negative side, Andilana Beach Resort targets a very specific demographic, Italians. This should have been highlighted as everything was in Italian, including all the entertainment, which limited our enjoyment. The language barrier was also a bit of a challenge, as we spoke very little Italian and most of the staff spoke limited English. The food was also specific to the demographic with more pasta and pizza on offer than we could handle. There were a few other options, but the quality was average. The resort could benefit from incorporating more local cuisine more regularly. We did get local options on the excursions, which was really good. Overall, the resort was great, the staff were great, but we struggled with the fact that everything was in Italian, which we did not expect from a French speaking territory."

"I must admit that I was a little concerned that staying at a resort so isolated we might be “ prisoner “ to over priced food and drinks. My fears could not be further from the truth. The food and drink here is very reasonably priced, and very good. The chef comes to you, yes he comes and finds you, then you order your meal, and arrange the time you would like to eat and you sit down, the meal arrives. Everything here is done with the guest in mind. The day trips offered cover everything you would want to see, the resort has its own boat, so it’s easy to arrange whatever you would like to do. Phillip is always available to answer your questions. He’s been doing this a long time, there are loads of staff on the property. If you would like to spoil yourself in an unspoiled paradise book book book"

"Staff were amazing, really hospitable. Nothing too much trouble! Marcello ( Resort Manager) went above and beyond. Always about. Very personable. Gave his personal number when we got stuck in Antananarivo, calming and supportive. Highly recommend the Excursion team. Despite language barrier, they really tried to make sure we got what we wanted."
