“The whole place looked dented. The room was basic with very tired old furniture.
We had no toiletries whatsoever in the bathroom.
Obviously the staff don’t check the notices near reception. Still a poster advertising Mothers Day 2025 hung up.
In the breakfast area some tables had tablecloths and others didnt”

“Stunning hotel, stunning location, we loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! Only very small issues be nice to allow pool use after checkout for kids on weekends as my son was really upset as they said we couldn’t . “This is a good looking hotel, outside the floral decorations were beautiful and the outside seating was great. Inside the bar and restaurant areas were very impressive. “A really comfortable hotel in a lovely village well placed for exploring North Yorkshire. The staff were all excellent, the food was superb and the bed was very comfortable. It’s not super modern as it’s in an old building but this makes it cosy and very comfortable. The outdoor pool is heated so lovely for a dip before breakfast.”

“For the cost of the room I expected more modern decor and room facilities. Very basic bath/shower combo, basic tea making facilities and dated decor/room furniture. The view from the room was fantastic but the view alone shouldn’t warrant such high prices.”
