"Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean, good bed and shower although some furniture and flooring was very worn. Can't comment on breakfast as I had to leave early. Overall a reasonable stay."

Breakfast served in the conservatory, staff excellent, breakfast served promptly, good choice and sets you up for a day in Bath. Downhill walk into bath but public transport available if required 4 minutes away. Honesty bar available, rooms cleaned daily with tea, coffee and biscuits replaced daily. This is a beautiful house run by very friendly and professional staff"

Was a bit reserved about the shared bathroom set up but I did not have any issues accessing it when I wanted to. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely book again but would prefer a en-suite room next time. "

"Very clean hotel. It has air conditioning and heat. Breakfast was excellent ! The only things I didn’t like are No lift to move luggage upstairs Not 24 hours check in. If you can’t check in their available hours in the morning , you have to wait till the reception reopen at 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon. "

"Stayed here for my birthday as wanted somewhere close to Frome and Stourhead. Lovely room with everything you need; sympathetically restored old building with 5 bedrooms. Bed very comfortable and shower very good. Stayed for an evening meal and enjoyed the lovely breakfast."

"Very good hotel. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. 15 minute walk in to town, so very convenient. All round a very nice place to stay. The only thing I would say is that the room was a little smaller than expected. "

"The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"We enjoyed our stay here. I spoke to the host on the phone as we arrived early and wanted to parking advice. He was so kind and explained in detail how to get to the car park and recommendations around Bath. The room was clean and comfortable. You can hear people walking around but that’s to be expected in an old home. "

"It was a great stop for us in our walk in the area . Staff very kind and friendly , food tasty (we had the homemade curry ) . Drinks were also good we had a draught beer and cider. It’s lovely to find people taking on a business and improving it . We didn’t use it but there is a large car park and garden at the rear "
