"All of the staff we met were very friendly, always smiling and very helpful. The room was lovely and clean and the shower was just the right pressure for being upstairs. We had breakfast and an evening meal and both were unbelievable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people and will return again "

"Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles."
