โVery comfortable bed and helpful staff. Antique furniture in the room might be nice to look at but itโs not always comfortable to use. Wouldโve been nice if there had been a couple of comfortable chairs in the room. Also, having only a small cafetiรจre in the room means that it has to be cleaned out after each use. That includes disposing of coffee grinds. Where do you put them?โ
โGorgeous views from the breakfast room! Highly customizable breakfast, take your pick from any of the usual items in an English breakfast. Comfortable rooms with a smart TV. Plenty of parking. Small charming village in the Peak District. Highly recommended!โ
โThe room was lovely (room 5) with a very comfy bed, decent enough facilities, but no complimentary biscuits, which is unusual, but understandable in these times.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, rushed off their feet as most places, but knew what they were doing.
Food was lovely and varied, breakast and dinnerโ
โNice clean hotel with a nice ambiance. We only stayed one night as easy walk to town to see the boat illuminations which was perfect. We had a room at the top floor. Compact but practical for the price and one night. โ

Easy walk into the village too, where thereโs shops and a couple of very good pubs too.
We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longerโฆ.

โThe hotel had lots of character. We couldnt fault the room. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The little touches like fresh milk and drinks in the fridge on arrival. Packed lunch every mornimg of our stay. Ideal location for exploring. The pianist in the restaurant in the evening was lovely.The food was very good.โ
โLovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire.โ
โIt was great. Staff wonderful, food great communications excellent, only slight detraction was the room was a tiny bit tired and in the cottage across the road with a bit of a sticky window. However in general terms we live the whole experience and I canโt praise the staff enough. They were brilliant โ
