We can’t fault the cleanliness of the room and the whole hotel. Breakfast was excellent with great choices. Orders put in the night before and cooked breakfast ready at our chosen time. Staff treated us like long lost friends and nothing was too much bother. We were there in a heat wave and were regularly offered bottles of cold water and there was a fan in the room. The large bed took up most of the room and was very comfortable.

The Hill Hotel was a great. Everything was immaculate . Location was great as well. Less than a 5 minute walk from train station and very close to town. The owners Lynne and Terry were fabulous host. Hopefully going back to Scotland in couple of years and will definitely stay here again.

What a find,this hotel is .it's nicely situated good car park ,clean bright and extremely comfortable .Terry and Lynne are wonderful hosts ,nothing is too much trouble for them ,and they are always friendly and helpful .we have stayed here three times before and would not consider staying anywhere else .

My husband & I stayed at the Hill Hotel for 2 nights while in Dumfries. From arrival to departure, Terry, Lynne & staff provided exceptional customer service. Our room was clean and the property also looked immaculate. Our entire stay was relaxing and we would not hesitate to return to the hotel in future. We fully recommend it.
