The room was cozy and comfortable. The bed pillows were perfect, I love my pillow firm and my husband prefers soft. The location of the Hotel was close to the main roads of Porterville, yet we heard no road noise. the room was very quiet.

This hotel is on the way to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park from Los Angeles. One of the last large, budget hotels due south of the Park, before you start getting into the smaller, resort-priced places right next to the Park.
The Motel 6 in nearby Porterville LOOKS cheaper--but BEWARE! The Motel 6 hides a $50 "administrative fee" in addition to the price advertised on Hotels.com. So I'd rather stay at a place that just tells me how much its rooms costs, like Super 8 did, than a place...

We selected the Best Western in Exeter while visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon. It’s located in a small, quite farming town. We found Restaurants were limited in town but had Lunch on day one and Dinner on day two in Three Rivers at River View (great hamburgers and chicken sandwiches). The hotel did sever a small continental breakfast you can take back to your room. Travel time to the Sequoia visitor center was appx. 1 hr and to Kings Canyon was about 1 1/2 hours.

Perfect mix of camping but with some of the comforts of home. The restrooms and showers were clean and well stocked. There were dinner options nearby and it was pretty close to trail of 100 giants. Probably best to visit late summer once nights start to cool down. My husband and I had a blast and can’t wait to visit again with our kiddo.

We visited for four days during July 2017. Had a great stay at this location!! Sarge and Debbie, the owners, do a fantastic job of making you feel at home and welcomed!! The rooms are clean with working AC and Cable TV, not that you'll spend much time in your room with all of the outdoor activities in the area!! The property has direct access down to Kern River, with great places to sit back and enjoy the views and meditate by the water.

What a beautiful hotel. The surrounding nature is so pristine and peaceful. A babbling stream and waterfalls with lush greenery made my mind immediately feel at ease. We stayed here for a weekend trip to the 2 parks and it was great. the staff was super friendly, the room was clean and cozy, and overall it felt very safe. i am a paranoid person and so is my friend, but as two women staying alone in a hotel that’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, i seriously felt so safe. even the town that was up the street had the most amazing, friendly, and helpful people. i would highly recommend staying at the three rivers comfort inn and we will definitely be back.
