"Loved this place! Greeted us w/ a drink from the bar and chocolates. Wonderful location, off the main street so it’s quiet but close to everything.
They even provided turn down service."
"Pros: 1) Decoration has a minimalist Nordic touch. 2) It was very clean. 3) It appeared to be newly remodeled with hardwood floors! 4) It was right near the Lago di Sorapis trailhead!
Cons: 1) I couldn’t sleep well. The AC wasn’t working despite a seemingly functional thermostat. When I first walked into the room, it was 78 degrees Fahrenheit. I can handle that at home with fans, but here, it’s a giant no. The room had a window that I opened for a little cooling. 2) It had a strange layout, like the original intent was to have a communal bathroom for single rooms. The bathroom was small and cramped. 3) The noise was noticeable. Outside in the hallway, people were still banging around at 11PM. The hotel has signs asking guests to be respectful and quiet though."
"Nice stay at Hotel Alaska. Great location in Cortina with spacious rooms. Traveled in summer where you’d need to have the windows open to be at a comfortable sleeping temperature. Our original room unfortunately had a resident nearby smoking on her patio but the young lady working at the front desk was very helpful when my husband asked for a different room. Very much appreciated."
