Breakfast was very nice but a little cramped. Service for breakfast was really good but a bit slow. Very nice bar in the evening too. Employees were very nice. I'd stay there again.

The hotel is cute and clean and close to the bus line, but this might not be the hotel for you if youre a light sleeper. The windows must stay open at night for air circulation, and unfortunately you can hear every single car, bus, bump outside your window.

Nice older hotel in a good location. Easy access to public transportation. Large rooms. On complaint is the beds. The mattresses were not comfortable. Felt like a few inches of foam over plywood.

Terrific location, great hotel, comfy room, nice and clean. Helpful and kind staff. Building is a bit outdated but overall well maintained. Just a step off Haymarket station, tram and buses services. Plenty of food options around.

The hotel is ideally located for both murrayfield and the town centre with tram links 2 mins from the door . The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good . A few grumbles tho , the windows were screwed open ( I guess as a result of the recent heatwave ) , but this needs addressing to satisfy everyone’s preference . Also the shower in our room (room 4 buchin) was very poor , alternating from hot to cold and the flow being very poor . Overall we would happily stay here again and thank the staff for their welcome .

We had two different rooms during our stay because of availability. The first was a standard room and it was OK, a bit tired but nice enough. But the mattress was so hard, terribly uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The second room was a larger one with a king and a single bed. Much nicer and the bed was comfortable. Overall the place was good at the price. Location was convenient, right near the train station, only one stop to Old Town and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were all helpful, moved our bags between the two rooms, booked us a cab etc.

We had a brilliant stay at The Haymarket Hotel. The setup is quite unique, as the hotel is spread across several charming historic townhouses, which gives the place plenty of character. The location is spot on... an easy walk to Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, and the Old Town, plus the tram and Haymarket station are just around the corner. Our room was spotless, surprisingly spacious, and very quiet. Thanks to the classic Scottish architecture, we had a lovely bay window with a seating area, which made the perfect cosy spot for a morning cup of tea. The en-suite bathroom was well equipped with quality toiletries, fluffy towels, and great water pressure. A wonderful touch was the complimentary welcome drink, served right at the friendly reception bar, such a pleasant way to kick off our stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. Everyone in our group was genuinely impressed, and we would happily book here again next time we visit Edinburgh. Highly recommended!

Loved the room so spacious, the furniture was lovely. The mattress not to my taste though. need to fix the shower tray. (Cracked). There was an Aircon Fan but didn't really work. Great breakfast plenty of choice.

Staff very friendly and welcoming at both check-in and check-out. The superior double room was a great size with a lovely fireplace and chairs in the window as well as a desk and chair. The bed was very comfy and a good night's sleep was had. The room was very clean and even had a fan to help keep cool. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you.

Very nice and decent stay in Edinburgh! Very close to the train station like 3-5mins walk. Plus the front reception is very helpful and nice! I got there way early before my checkin time so i left my bags with them. When i came back, my bags were already in my room. Room was huge and clean for a very good price! I didnt get to explore the amenities but I would book this place again when I visit Edinburgh

The rooms were large and comfortable and elegant. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although it was a bit of a hike to Old Town, there were easily accessible buses, tram and taxis very nearby.

Excellent spot to stay in Edinburgh, short 10 minute walk to city centre (flat straight road) with Haymarket itself a lovely area with plenty of bars, restaurants etc right on the doorstep of the hotel. Incredibly easy to get to with public transport with Train, Tram and Bus stops all within about 200 yards connecting to Airport, centre and beyond. The property is very well maintained and for the price we paid was excellent value compared to similar style properties in Edinburgh
