"We had an absolute blast at Great Wolf Lodge and overall really enjoyed our stay! I would give it 4 stars. The resort was nice, the beds were extremely comfortable, and I really appreciated that there were free activities included for the younger kids. Compared to Kalahari, the water park is smaller, but there was still plenty for us to enjoy.
The biggest downside was the food. The prices were very high, especially the pizza, and the food lines moved extremely slowly. Some of the food service staff could have been more customer-service oriented as well. We also encountered a few rude employees in the water park, although it was only about three employees out of the many we interacted with, so overall the staff experience wasn’t terrible.
I also wish there were more included activities geared toward older kids. Most of the free activities seemed designed for younger children, so my 12-year-old ended up getting bored while we participated in activities with my younger child. Since the water park is smaller than Kalahari, I think having more activities for tweens and older kids would create a better balance.
One other inconvenience was the 11 PM–7 AM quiet/hibernation time. I understand having quiet hours, but not being able to step outside the room during that entire period was restrictive, especially for early risers.
Overall experience was great and best kalahari in many areas. Got an excellent parking spot and easy access to lobby from room. Will return."
