"I stayed there, for its proximity to the end of the Engadin Ski Marathon and was pleasantly surprised at how nice this very, very old hotel is. It’s thoroughly modern, in excellent condition, has a superb staff, an impressive breakfast menu and is a very good value. Groomed cross country track is within a 15 min walk; downhill is half an hour away. Trains to wherever you want to go. St Moritz is easily within range using the train. Nice winter hotel. "The spa is downright false advertising. The hotel website has a whole page about the spa, featuring various steam rooms, etc, and saying the wellness area is open starting 8 in the morning. The reality is that all wellness facilities remained closed in the morning with the exception of a lukewarm bathtub sized whirlpool even after we complained to the hotel manager. Given that we picked this hotel because of the spa this was quite a turnoff. The room and the hotel bar were all right."
