Estoril Coast, Portugal hotel rooms at the Independent

"The view was amazing from our room. The hotel is right on the beach at the Marina with only a small street between the hotel and the sand. The balcony was a good size and contained a table and two chairs so we could sit outside and look at the ocean. The free buffet breakfast was amazing! I have never seen anything like that for a free service. It had hot items such as bacon, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, etc. Plus toast, bagels, many types of fresh fruit including kiwi and watermelon plus fresh vegetables with dip. PLUS freshly baked Pastel de Nata and a few other Portuguese treats. The coffee machine supplied capuccinos and espresso. Overall just a fantastic breakfast setup. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, surrounded by restaurants and shops and bars and many Thai massage places. "

"Love the spot. 13 Euro Uber drive to practically anywhere you want to go. Facilities are incredible. Indoor and outdoor pool with Jacuzzi's. Full service gym. And rooms have laundry, stove, microwave, refrigerator and freezers. The only down side is that you can tell the customer service isn't the passion of their staff. Also, their restaurant wasn't great. That said, I generally had no issues with getting what I needed. Overall, I'd definitely stay again."
