“Staff were helpful, pleasant and friendly. Clean room and good breakfast.”

“This true Kentish pub is fabulous, the accommodation is comfortable and clean, the staff are welcoming friendly and helpful. The menu is varied and food is great. A pleasure to visit this historic pub.”

“Staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Hotel itself is a little tired. Bed was like staying in my in-laws spare bedroom, on their old bed. Bathroom fan didn’t work and the ceiling was mouldy. Quiet environment about a 35 min walk from train station and old town.”

“Big spacious rooms with enough room for a family of 4 in a room with 3 beds. Very clean and tidy and updated hotel. Bar on site was excellent, food was great...can get busy so book a table if you can.”

“Staff are what makes this place. Friendy, helpfull and efficient”

“The bed was not great. I will not return to this Marston's site. Experience was made worse as was pleased with the Blue Jay.”

“Beware if you are thinking about booking their rooms. Telephone attendant have no idea when their reception open/closes. They told us the checkin is open until 12AM and when we reach at 11:30, there was no one - they locked and went home. Their emergency number is another joke, don’t expect anyone will help you in case of emergency at night. We cancelled our trip and went back.”

“Clean ok”
