This a beautiful, one of a kind hotel on a river 5 min. from Fairbanks airport. You would have to see the pictures of the hotel to se what I'm talking about because its so unique. 5 stars to every part of this hotel. The only thing that could be better that if the bathroom fan was on its own switch. Minor, only if you leave the bathroom light on (with door closed) so you can see if you have to go to bathroom in the middle of the night. When you drive up to this hotel it pretty impressive and when you walk into the lobby you just go wow. Every bit of service was outstanding. It was a get surprise and a great way to end our trip. If you go to Fairbanks stay at this hotel. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice staff; but it is very noisy. The room has old furniture and smells “old.” The bed was too soft and sinks in. All the electrical clocks are on a different time. Even though the TV has Netflix; you have to sign in. Don’t bother breakfast; it is about $18.00 for the same thing you would get for free at a Comfort Inn. The bathroom was nice.

The hotel has its old charms. The driver of airport pickup is very cordial and friendly. The room is equipped with tea pot, microwave oven, refrigerator. The breakfast buffet has good selections.

The hotel is divided into a main building, a second building and little log cabins. We were in the second building. Three floors with elevator. Ice machine only on second floor. Most staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport was very good. Certain times if the year is a free breakfast and during peak season there is a charge. We came in the middle and they gave us vouchers for the paid breakfast. The paid breakfast has more choices but the free one was fine for our needs. Cleaning staff when we visited,May, 2024, was under staffed. There was a note in the room. When you saw staffing the hall, you could ask for what you needed. The breakfast is in the main building. Did not try the restaurant there. I would stay again.

Pikes Lodge was a comfortable hotel and full of options. I liked the Alaskan feel the lodge provided and the staff was very friendly. Keep up the great work.

The steam room and sauna was very nice. The hotel overall had a unique gold rush time period feel that was interesting. The hotel wasnt super modern or overly updated but thats a little bit of what I liked about this place. On a side note....when you get into the shower, BE PREPARED FOR 100 PSI MINIMUM water pressure! I loved it. I wouldnt have even needed soap to cut the dirt off me and I appreciated it, but if your a little old lady then be warned that you may want to hold onto the shower handle or divert the shower head initially.

What a pleasant surprise! A beautiful lobby with Tiffany lamps everywhere and scenic grounds (our room looked over the Chena River), good restaurant next door, amazing breakfast included each morning and we really enjoyed the nightly ice cream bar.

Loved the free breakfast, ice cream, and bar next door Tried to view the Aurora but way too many outdoor lights, even in the aurora viewing room. Only place to catch a glance is through the dining room and door are locked from the outside so I had to ask the front desk. Rooms are warm since no air conditioning is allowed. Overall cute resort. Would return

Pikes is convenient and offers everything you need, shuttle service, food, amenities. We love the sauna and steam room! Our only issue this trip was the temperature. A/C is not yet available (because of the season) however the rooms and the building are kept so warm we were just plain uncomfortable. I kept the heat off and the window open both nights and it was just plain hot. It was the same in the dining area, if I was wearing more than a tank top, I was sweating. We had 3 in our party and all felt the same. Other than that, as usual, it's a great place to stay.

Great place to stay. We stayed in the cabins on the Aurora side and the first night we were there we were able to see it in all its glory! Great trip! Will stay again, about a mile from the airport.
