"I am not sure who is giving this property 4+ stars, but I can only guess it is because they have not been here in a while. The only decent part of this hotel was the lobby, which is probably why it is in so many pictures online. The room was dirty, the AC made strange noises all night, and the beds were horrifically uncomfortable. Each place we went in the hotel smelled different, none of it pleasing. The third floor smelled like mold, the first floor smelled like urine, and the elevator smelled like weed. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the front desk staff were very nice, and it is not their fault they work in a hotel that is in desperate need of major upgrades and building improvements. There is absolutely no way I would ever stay in this hotel again, and I am seriously considering NEVER staying in a La Quinta again either!"

"I’ve never in my years of booking through Hotels.com ran into any issues until I booked this location in Denver. I was planning on checking in early but because of traffic at Colorado Springs I wasn’t able to check in until close to 9pm. We traveled from northern AZ to get here and when we arrived the front desk advised us that we couldn’t check in due to all the rooms being sold out. Mind you, I booked this months in advance! And it was non-refundable! So how the HECK did our room get “sold” to someone else?! I then was instructed to book somewhere else but everyone in town was sold out and ended up at a sketchy Motel 6 miles outside of town. Don’t list yourself on a booking website if you’re going to sell out your rooms to other people! Beware when booking!"

"Pros; Lots of free, well lit parking. Easy to get to. Close to a lot of stores. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room came with a microwave and refrigerator (although the frig didn't keep things very cold). The room we had on the third floor was quiet. Cons; Our room was a little small so it was a little uncomfortable. Small bathroom. Small dark shower with a slippery floor. Small toilet. Too small of a breakfast room for as many rooms as they have in that hotel. Only ice machine was in the first floor breakfast room, a long ways from our 3rd floor room. Our last morning before we checked out our key card wouldn't work. There was no one at the desk and the maids wouldn't help. I had to use an electronic kiosk to resolve the problem. I would have preferred a real person to talk to. We would consider staying there again, but next time would request a handicapped room with a bigger bath with grab bars. I'm 80 and that would be helpful for me."

"The property was beautiful and the staff were friendly and accommodating! I enjoyed the spacious room, comfortable bed, and it was quiet and relaxing. Plenty of parking and a quick walk to the front lobby. Would definitely stay here again!"
