However, Expedia listed the latest check-in as 12 AM, which caused stress and almost cost me £100 for an Uber. Expedia should clarify that guests can call ahead if arriving after midnight. ”

“Arrived early and could check in early for minimal fee. Room lovely, clean and everything needed for the one night stay. Ate at restaurant and food / service great. Easy walk to some shopping. Front desk arranged taxi for transfer to airport but also shuttle right outside the door too. Had a hiccup by leaving back pack in taxi and hotel helped arrange for me to get this back. Overall great experience and customer service. Highly recommend this hotel ”
“Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. “Lovely manor house Hotel. It's foremost a wedding venue, conference type hotel so nice and peaceful in the week. Room was quiet, very comfy bed. Food in the restaurant was very good quality. I had the pork belly and it was delicious. Will stay here again for sure. Room was cheaper than a Premier Inn too. ”
“My husband & I had to travel from the other end of the country to visit an elderly relative in the nearby hospital, and needed a reasonably-priced last-minute room for 2 nights. This fitted the bill perfectly, and I knew we'd made the right choice when I spoke to the Manager. What a lovely guy: friendly, honest, helpful, straightforward, and so easy to deal with.
