Einfaches, aber ruhiges und sauberes Zimmer, sauber auch das Bad, sehr freundliches Personal, hervorragendes Restaurant und vor allem ein mehr üppiges Frühstücksbuffet ... bei 82 €/Nacht insgesamt also ein optimales Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Great place to stay close to but outside of Ffm

I was in the Bad Vilbel Area and needed a place to stay for a few days on short notice. Picked this based on good reviews and the fact that it has a pub associated with. Which, by the way is phenomenal. Turned out it was a good choice and I will gladly come back on future travel. Most hotels in rural areas of Germany (and don’t be fooled, technically the hotel is in Frankfurt but that suburb is as rural as it gets) are equivalent to low budget hotels in the US. The Alte Scheune is inside an old traditional German country house, and the rooms are rustic in style but the woods looked all totally new. No frills but great WiFi, large TV, nice bathroom. No key card instead a big brass room key. I didn’t see A/C, pretty sure they don’t have any, few German hotels do. No lift, you will have to take stairs to get to your room. Staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet is traditional German, with plenty of options. Parking is extremely limited but I had no problems finding street parking. And a car (or us of a cab) is pretty much a must, as public transportation into Frankfurt is possible but requires combinations of busses and subways, none convenient.

Good German hotel

Nice hotel located in a small village close to Frankfurt. Parked my car on the street outside, for free, which worked perfectly fine. The surroundings seemed nice, but not explored. Easy check-in. Got a nice single room facing the backyard. Clean and proper. The only, minor, issue is if you go to bed before the pub closes, there might be some noise from the guests. No big deal in my case though. Good WiFi quality. As mentioned, there is a pub next to the restaurant. No problem to sit in the backyard garden and enjoy a beer or a glass of wine. Good restaurant with English menu (even if stubborn me read it in German). The wine list was also good with several wines by the glass. Well prepared and good food. Friendly service. Extensive breakfast, pretty much everything I wanted. Easy check-out and then some 10-15 minutes before hitting the Autobahn again.

Sehr freundlich und ruhig. Die Bäder sind midestens 20 Jahre alt und verdienen es gründlicher geputzt zu werden als es geschieht. War vor acht Monaten schon mal hier und der Eindruck war der Gleiche. Bin trotzdem wieder gekommen. Frühstück war beim letzten Ml deutlich besser

Dejligt hotel tæt på Frankfurt

Dejligt hotel i en forstad til Frankfurt. Tæt på både byen og Taunus bjergene. Personalet var virkelig imødekommende og venlige. Stort familieværelse med te-køkken. Fungerede supergodt. I sommervarmen havde det været ønskværdigt med air-con på værelset. Absolut et sted vi kan anbefale

Tolles Ambiente im Restaurant- und Außenbereich.

Hier kann man bestimmt eine tolle Hochzeit feiern. Toller Innenhof, nettes Restaurant, gutes Essen. Aber ich war nur zum schlafen hier. Keine Verdunklungsmöglichkeit außer einem dünnen gelben Vorhang. Die Straßenlaterne hat direkt hereingescheint. Das Bad müsste mal renoviert werden, reichlich Schimmelflecken im Silikon. Man muss eine recht steile Treppe erklimmen, durch das Treppenhaus hört man den Lärm aus dem Restaurant. Gottseidank war an dem Abend keine große Gesellschaft im Haus.

Value for money nær Frankfurt

Havde 4 dages ophold på hotellet, som var indrettet rustikt og hyggeligt nær Frankfurt og Bad Homburg. God restaurant på hotellet samt endvidere hyggelig italiensk cafe/gårdhave meget tæt derpå. Meget righoldig og spændende morgenmadsbuffet.
