“What a cracking pub. What more do you want from a place to stay than have a legendary boozer right below you. The land lady was very friendly and polite, rooms were basic but clean and perfect for my needs. They do a cracking pint downstairs too. Staying again next week for work it was that good and the prices resonable.”

“I had liver and onions for evening meal. It was over cooked as the liver was crumbling as I ate it. The bed was uncomfortable ..mattress was cheap and the bed wobbled every time you moved keeping my wife awake as I moved in the night. Sue, manager was brilliant , very attentive and polite.”

“We paid, as you can see. We turned up around an hour after booking to check in. We were completely ignored by passing staff regardless of the fact that there were four of us standing around with our bags to check in. We eventually got greeted by an abrupt member of staff. Who told us she needed to get someone else to check us in. This other member of staff came around 15 minutes later, so we bought a drink each whilst we were waiting.
