Great hotel, spacious suite. Clean and looked after. The suite gave added bonus of extra space and kitchen facilities. Beautiful views across the bay. On-site parking and bar / restaurant. Plentiful breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Does have stairs to the rooms, perhaps not ideal if have mobility issues but all round a great hotel for location and price. Highly recommend

Staff were amazing - great evening meal and breakfast. The suite was huge with fabulous views over the bay. The new manager is brilliant, really friendly, and a great source of local info. Used to be a holiday home for the Hartley jam family! Will be going back for a few nights as it is a really good base for exploring.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We booked this hotel in advance as part of our NC500 tour. We stayed at several hotels during our trip, all of which were enjoyable except this one. In our opinion, the photos used to advertise the property do not accurately reflect its current condition. My wife and I were extremely disappointed when we arrived. The staff we encountered were friendly and polite, and they were the only positive aspect of our experience. Our room (Room 25) was accessed via several flights of narrow, winding stairs, with no lift available. Carrying luggage to the room was difficult, and the layout made us question how practical it would be in an emergency. The overall atmosphere felt damp, tired, and more like a poorly maintained shared house than a hotel. After seeing the room, we decided not to stay and arranged alternative accommodation elsewhere. Although this meant changing our plans at short notice, we felt far more comfortable doing so than spending the night there. I would strongly encourage anyone considering booking here to read recent reviews carefully and manage their expectations. In my experience, this was by far the most disappointing accommodation of our entire NC500 trip, and I cannot recommend it.
