“Shortly after I booked the room I received an email from the property. It was about the deposit which I was expecting. However they changed their method of payment from what they had in the listing (PayPal) to Zelle. I wouldn't have minded paying it by PayPal however paying by Zelle gives you no recourse whatsoever if something goes wrong. After going back and forth with Expedia and the property they decided that they were going to uphold their no refunds policy even though it was a bait and...

“What an absolutely remarkable place! It genuinely feels as though a beautiful piece of historic Italy has been transported into this Chicago neighborhood. The architecture, thoughtfully selected ornate decor, warmth, and attention to detail create an atmosphere that is both elegant and incredibly welcoming. This is not simply a place to stay. It is an experience. And then there is Gina! Her hospitality is in a class of its own. From preparing a wonderful breakfast to serving homemade banana...

“I enjoyed my stay”

“The room was standard clean. Hallway on 2nd carpet looks old and dirty.”

“Perfect location for seeing a show at The Vic! Lots of restaurants nearby. I didn’t love having the private bathroom not connected to the room but I did know about this when I booked. Everything was very clean and the staff-free check in went smoothly. I’d stay here again.”

“Perfect inexpansive but quality stay in Chicago. Close to CTA, clean facility and friendly staff. Highly recommended”

“If you’re looking for a hassle-free stay, skip this place. Room was fine, but the tech system for remote check-in was terrible. I filled out the online forms I was sent and provided all requested information ahead of time, but had received nothing back by check-in time. I was outside the hotel (you can’t get in without a code to get your key, which they had not provided) dealing with a parking situation and a staff person opened the door and beckoned me in and gave me a key card. I was still...

“The check in was the fastest I've ever experienced. Key card in hand and walking away in under 2 minutes. Room was perfect and shower pressure was excellent. Not very often do I find a hotel room with high pressure.”
