“We enjoyed our stay at The Old Pheasant Hotel very much. There are great staff, the room and bed were very comfortable, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We stayed for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent.”

“Great, central location, nice walk into main part of town. Room was comfortable and clean. The owner was very helpful, moving cars around to make sure parking was sorted. Also allowing us to use a different room for a shower in the morning, as I broke the pull cord on the shower in our original room!”

“On the whole enjoyed our one night stay. Property is lovely and our ground floor room was clean and warm. Only downside was black mold on the shower tray edge but the power shower was awesome.The breakfast room is nicely decorated and the food on offer was of excellent quality and well cooked.goos continental selection. Overall it is a lovely hotel and we would stay again.”

“Basic hotel but absolutely fine. Good value for money and great location. Be aware the Room 1 is over the kitchen and their air conditioner produces loud buzzing noise in the room until late. Staff sympathetic but unable to help. ”

“Accessible room was perfect. I chose not to have breakfast so not able to comment on breakfast or bar area, because fir my visit I was visiting family and had lots of activities planned with them. Room was clean and the walk in shower in the accessible room so much better than trying to climb into lowered bath to have a shower. ”

“Lovely old historic Inn. Rooms traditionally furnished and had some nice welcoming touches. Bar was very cozy. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast freshly cooked. No lift but staff kindly helped us to the top floor with our bags. Our daughter stayed in a ground floor garden room overlooking the beer garden which was also very nicely furnished. Menu looked great but we ate in the Indian restaurant directly opposite which was also excellent. Will stay here again when passing through.”
