“If your looking for an overrated hotel then this is your place!!! Dated old dirty pillows, hair in the bed, chips in the mirror bed so uncomfortable you might aswell sleep on the floor dirty towels, don't get me started on the parking fee aswell, 9 pound! Reception staff on arrival grumpy as hell! Reception staff when leaving very nice and helpful shame they wasn't working when we arrived! Overall wished we had just booked a Premier inn that worked out cheaper with decent beds aircon and all that...

“No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. “The bar maid was very argumentative. We told her we had a reservation to which she informed us that they do not take reservation for less than 6 people. “Very well renovated room in lovely grounds. Good breakfast, friendly staff, would stay again 😀 ”

“Very handy location close to where we needed to be in Chelmsford. Certainly more room that a budget hotel wih everything you need, including safe parking.”

“Close to Stansted airport. Right before the highway is a gas station, so that you can fill the tank before returning a rental car.”

We stayed there two nights and all meals were very good and served really hot. It was also nice to have the choice of different options for breakfast. The bar and restaurant are separate and really clean and nicely furnished. We have stayed in several hotels in this area during the past year and the Green Man is...
