"My family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) stayed at Circus Circus in Reno over the Memorial Day Weekend from Friday to Monday. I know this is probably one of the busiest times for this property, not only for the holiday, but because of the annual basketball tournament held at the convention center about 10-15 minutes away.
We arrived Friday afternoon around 4 pm. The process to drop off our luggage and have our car valeted took at least 30 min. They had 1 person helping with the luggage and 1 person in charge of valet. However, offloading the luggage takes longer than taking the car for valet. This produced a bottleneck within the entrance ramp. Also, people would get onto the ramp, park the car, and unload the luggage themselves. So, if a car was done being helped by employees, and there was a parked in the way, then the wait was even longer. However, staff was very kind and helpful once they are able to reach you. Valet is $20 for your stay and limited to 35 spots, which is very good.
Overall, the hotel room was stuffy/humid upon entering, but fixed by making the room very cold. There was several stains on the bedding. The walls are very thin. So, thin my husband and I thought it was our daughter making the noises. The gym was nothing special - bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals. Ease to the food and arcade was nice. The restaurants and quick food were a great perk for us.
You are able to do self check in and self check out. This was a very easy and convenient process."
