"The stay was perfectly good and everything was fine and good. One most important thing is that the staff needs to learn and speak English as English is an international language. Sheraton is an international brand and that is why English should be spoken and used everywhere in the hotel "

"Thermostats didn’t work. Room temperature reached to 28C. Front desk suggest to provide a fan - I was shocked to hear that. Upon refusing the fan option, changed my room. New room - window wouldn’t close so you can count how many cars passed by. In the morning AC automatically changed to heater and I woke up due to hot room. Old and hard to operate thermostat. Room size although they call it king size bad room was terrible. No sitting spot to sit and put your shoes on. Breakfast is below...

"There are 3 untrue information on the hotel description including map location, nearby, and getting around. When I found out the hotel is not located at Xuhui and cannot get there by metro, I asked to cancel and refund, but cannot get refund. It is luck for us to find out the errors early and get into trouble at night with luggage. "

"Hotel is located right inside a beautiful park. Breakfast is awesome and offers a lot of choices, hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. Only the gym could offer a little more exercise options, its basically 2 treadmills and 3 different weights. Only con in my opinion: It is difficult to get a taxi. Especially as a foreigner without access to AliPay or DiDi (Chinese Uber). Hotel staff will order you a taxi but it takes a while."

"The Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai is located at the old French Concession, one of the city's most exclusive neighborhoods and also very convenient shopping district. Many restaurants and several shopping malls are steps away from the hotel. It's also very close to subway station. The property has an upscale appearance inside and out. Most staffs were pleasantly polite and helpful; room was clean and well equipped; breakfast buffet selection was quality and substantial. It'd be my first choice when I return to Shanghai next trip. "

"I am a returning guest to this hotel. The hotel has spacious and clean rooms. It is convenient to access shops and a supermarket. You can reach to a bakery, a food court and more formal restaurants without walking on the street. The staff is super friendly. Especially, I would like to mention Eve, a front desk staff. After knowing that I could not order a gift item from Taobao due to lack of domestic payment methods, she gladly helped to order it for me. In the end, the gift item was timely arrived for me. BIG THANKS! "
