Our room was clean, quaint overlooking beautiful greenery & had full supply of amenities. There is no shower in the room, have to use the communal bath in B1 that has direct access to the onsen. We enjoyed the onsen during our stay. Peaceful, relaxing & rejuvenating after walking for about 20K steps/day.

Loved our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Located a 3-5 minute walk from the bus and train station. Breakfast was simple but delicious and the shaved ice in the afternoon was a nice treat. There was an indoor and outdoor onsen and a foot bath. There is no shower in the room. This is a traditional Japanese hotel(ryokan) so you sleep on tatami mats and the onset bathing is communal.

Conveniently located - 5 minute walk from the train station. There are no convenience stores nearby, so shop before you settle for your stay. There is no restaurant in the vicinity as well. Pleasant staff. Quaint, quiet, serene environment. If you are looking for a place to relax, do nothing, this is the place for you. We enjoyed the outdoor onsen & the baths. Rooms are clean with complete amenities. Our room did not include a shower, you will need to go to the communal baths in at their basement. Croissants & coffee for breakfast are included. No proteins, so bring your own. Kakigori (shaved ice) are available in the afternoons. We really enjoyed the foot baths after a long day walk.

Amazing place. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful nature, which made it the perfect getaway from the busy city. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and traditional, which made the stay feel authentic and special. The onsen was one of the highlights — very clean, relaxing, and not too crowded. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring Hakone.

Would stay again. Staff were very kind to us despite being English-speaking tourists, lovely view of the valley, and strong Japanese vibes throughout the property. Price was right too. Only off putting part was the interesting walk from the train station.

Very clean and spacious room. A traditional Japanese feel to it! The amenities were great. They had most things you might need, including Yukatas. This together with the onsen bath made this a very relaxing stay. Finally, the staff was lovely and very helpful!

This was such a lovely spot to stay. A very authentic and peaceful Ryokan experience in a beautiful setting. The room was much larger than I expected with a relaxing forest outlook. The staff were very helpful and accomodating, providing a lovely breakfast of pastries and even a lift up to the train with our luggage when we left. It’s not far to walk from the train, but a bit tricky crossing the road when busy. We found it easier to cross further up around the corner when arriving, we had our luggage forwarded for arrival which was very easy. We were hoping to try the little Japanese pub by the train station but it was closed, but ordered Uber eats quite easily, otherwise you can eat in Gora or Hakone Yumoto. Would definitely recommend for a quiet, authentic stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hakone Sui​sen. The location is fantastic — peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly placed for exploring Hakone. The atmosphere feels truly magical and relaxing from the moment you arrive. The staff were so welcoming and kind, which made the experience even more special. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and very well kept. We felt completely at ease the entire time. This was one of the highlights of our trip and we would happily stay again. Highly recommend!
