The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. "This was an amazing option to stay at for two nights. We could drop our bags, do the Hakone Gora loop clockwise with a bus stop 1 min from the door, with delicious sushi and a convenience store nearby too (for breakfeast options). Having the the Open Air Museum and a train stop nearby was perfect. The place itself was tidy, warm, had all the essentials we needed, plus a generously sized bathtub (with TV) to relax after completing the loop. The views were beautiful too."

"The location was excellent just a short walk to Moto-Hakone and nearby restaurants. The walk back uphill is definitely doable, but I’d recommend taking a taxi, especially after a long day out. The home itself is tucked away in the mountains, offering a peaceful and private setting. It was beautifully designed and comfortably accommodated our family of six.
