"Absolutely phenomenal hotel. My stay at this traditional Japanese ryokan was an amazing experience. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly and the insensitive were wonderful! I cannot recommend this place enough and I hope to be back someday!"
"Everyone at the ryokan was very attentive to our needs. The dinner and breakfast in our room were outstanding. The private onsets were very clean but a little hot. After adding cold water, the onsens were very relaxing. Overall, we had a memorable experience!"
"Hako Riero was wonderful. It was clean, stylish and very high tech. It had a 7 eleven in walking distance and very close to the Hakkne-Yumoto train station. I would absolutely stay here again.

"Excellent Onsen experience, especially the bath in the balcony with hot spring water is great. Dinner and breakfast experience are also very nice and local. "
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were amazing! My family and I felt like kings and queens. The property is charming, clean, private and well taken care of. We had two rooms one with the onsen and one traditional japanese room for our adult children. All four of us cant talk highly enough about our stay and experience here."
"The package included the dinner and breakfast (Kaiseki style), the foods are delicious and served very well. The front desk staff explains very detailed about the facilities. "

"Had a great stay here, the staff is very friendly and patient as most communication is via google translate, and they are very good at making sure your stay is pleasant, especially for first time ryokan visitors. I’ve seen some folks say it is an older building, but that is its charm. When you are in the baths, it will all make sense. It was clean and the AC unit worked great. I am only sad that the chef was not working as I’ve seen great reviews about the food, but dinner recommendations were provided. Call ahead to find this out. "
