I prepaid for my stay through Hotels.com, but the hotel charged me again for the room upon check-in. As a result, I have effectively paid for the room twice.
I was also charged a deposit and a resort fee, which have still not been refunded. When I contacted the staff, they repeatedly told me that the charges would be refunded, but I have not received my money back.
This situation has been very frustrating. Guests should not have to spend time chasing refunds for charges that should never have...
