“We stayed for one night, also having dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely and clean, the dinner and breakfast were both freshly cooked and delicious. It was great to see the bar /restaurant buzzing with locals and others staying there. Staff were really helpful. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay and located well for exploring. ”

The shower took 25 minutes to drain and, whilst we understand the logistics of old manor houses, if the plumbing is not up to standard then this should be at least mentioned on booking. “A last minuet birthday break for my wife. Usually like contempory hotels but this quaint beautiful hotel was amazing. Beautiful decor comfy bed and amazing staff who could not do enough for you. We had milk in the room instead of using the pot cream... they even brought a little fridge for in and on the next night the fridge had a new bottle of milk.. absolutely amazing staff. 11 out of 10 and thank you for making our stay so pleasurable. “Staff uniforms were filthy and the floors were covered in food. Owner didn't greet with a smile nor was very friendly. There were broken ornaments on display. Shower door was broken and didn't close properly and the shower itself was a dribble of water. Im glad it was onky for one night!”

“The hotel was particularly quaint and uncommercial yet had everything that we needed. The food was excellent, however, there was no option for gluten free cereal which was a shame but there were plenty of other options available.”
