"I booked through Expedia and didn't realise that even though it says the hotel has air con. That is only if you book a room with air con. Standard rooms don't have it. Our first roo. Had a meagre fan and smelt bad. However the staff were great and moved us to a room with air con and we were lucky as it was the last one! But the bathroom was not clean. Had to get people to come and clean the bath which had scummy around it at the bottom and the room door was broken and the top. I only booked this hotel because it has a pool and I have a bad back. But had to pay extra £20 per person which we decided not to do. And the breakfast was also am extra £20 per person. Which we didn't have as we had to leave early so I would have been better of staying elsewhere."

"Great location but living on its laurels and in urgent need of refurbishment. Unpleasant stains in the bathroom, only sunflower shower (terrible if you have had a recent and expensive blow dry), just feels shabby and outdated. Shame, as it could be a really nice spot for returning customers. Not me as things stand."

"Lights and extractor fan not working in the room. Reports of worms in the swimming pool by other guests. However, we didn’t see any worms and thought the pool and leisure facilities were fine. Moved to a different room due to lights and fan not working then ended up with bed bug bites from the mattress. (Confirmed by pharmacist) wrote a complaint to hotel about this but received no response. Would not be staying there again. Expedia tried to help with some form of refund but hotel didn’t reply to them either."

"For a 4 star hotel, this isn't an ideal place to stay when there is a heatwave. The room we were given was unbearably hot and we couldn't open our windows; no air con. The fans were poor and didn't do anything. Myself being pregnant and having a 5 year old, we couldn't stay here so ended up having to find another accommodation. There was a couple of timed power outages which also ruined the experience. I would say the only good thing about this hotel was the swimming pool."
