"Checkin was pleasant and room was on 1st floor right next to parking, so easy unload and load. There is a family feel to the inner courtyard/parking, as some residents make use of their porch while children pet visiting dogs. The town is older environment wise. It is not an area that I’d normally visit. I stayed in the area because my son had a football game in the area, My preference is updated city life. It is a layed back but comfortable area.

If you plan to do any mining in the Herkimer diamond mines, wear long pants, bring and wear work gloves, bring various sizes of rock / mason chisels, including down to about 1/4". If you have a dental pick, those can be helpful too. Eat at Jamo's
