Nice 'extras' provided (sewing kit, razor, toothbrush and past) which is no longer standard. Parking was easy and on the street directly opposite the hotel."

"This cottage is ideally located 4 minutes' walk halfway between the bus garage and the historic area of Hexham, and just 10 minutes from the station. There are plenty of eating places and takeaways nearby and a convenience store just a couple of minutes seat. The cottage itself was immaculate, well-equipped and beautifully furnished, with high quality towels and linen and toiletries. To correct an earlier review, there is a potato peeler. The only possible problem for anyone with walking difficulties is that there are 6 quite deep steps up to the front door."
