“The Crown Hotel is nestled in a quiet community near Carlisle. It is located near a train station but also has a parking area (spaces are a bit tight, designed for small cars but filled with larger cars). There is access to a private gym/fitness center on site. There is a lovely garden with seating. The morning breakfast is quite nice with many options. We stayed three nights while we explored Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. “Excellent price competitiveness. One minor thing was provided sofa-bed was very uncomfortable due to too thin topper (I could feel the frame of the sofa). Pool was also great, particularly its temperature and sauna facilities. ”
