“Few things were super impressive as follows: 1) All the staffs were so helpful, welcoming and always there for us when we needed. 2) If you prefer something that gives you a traditional vibes apart from a concrete high rise building this place is highly recommended. 3) The entire place was neat and clean along with worthy prices. Besides these nothing was found by me which is problematic or annoying. Long story short,I liked staying there.”

“Decent property or a short stay. The dining experience was good. Close to Nuwara Eliya town centre but not walkable. Considering the fact the area is a hill station with cold/colder weather conditions, the room(s) need a better heating setup that can make the visitors feel comfortable inside the room.”

“We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. ”

“Staff was courteous. Breakfast was good. There was no hot water available until I asked them about it. Overall stay was good but I felt pretty cold in the night”

“We stayed just for a night as a stopover drive from arugam bay to Ahungalla. We had the family room which has two bedrooms, one with 2× double bed and the other 1x double bed. Had a fridge/freezer and a living room. No air conditioning but wasn't needed as the weather was already cold in nuwara Eliya. Breakfast included offered western (sausages, toasted bread and eggs)or srilankan food (dosa, sambal, eggs). Offered fruita and juice. Great location very high up on the mountain with a nice view...

“We enjoyed our stay at Tea Plant, with a very spacious room offering a lovely view — thank you again for the upgrade. Dinner was also good and generous. However, the hotel really needs some refurbishment (leaks, worn furniture), and the staff could be a bit more professional”

“Staff was good beds a little hard & sheets not clean overall not like the pictures on hotels.com we could hear all that was going on in next room & downstairs ”

“Room was spacious and nice. Welcoming 5 min massage was great and full body massage for fair price was very good. Whirlpool in sauna area was under maintenance. Service in restaurant was very bad. We ate their twice, both 15 min nobody cared about us, then once ordered nothing happened another 20 minutes, not even drinks came. Second day for breakfast same experience. Food though was good and prices fair. Definitely they have service issues in their restaurant.”

“Really really nice staff - they were so accommodating and helpful- beyond what could be expected. We only stayed one night but they made us wish we had stayed a little longer. ”

“Lovely property. Spotless rooms, attentive staff, peaceful surroundings.”

“Lovely staff and service”

“Very nice to stay! Highly recommend.”

“Nytt rent hotell. Generös och fin frukost. Personalen väldigt hjälpsam. ”

“The room was spacious , clean & comfortable & we were very well cared for by Kapil who served us a delicious soup on arrival . We chose to walk to Jetwing St Andrews for breakfast & were treated to probably the best breakfast buffet we’ve ever had ! ”

“Very nice hotel with cool lakeview! And hotel facility is like brand new. Staff showed me other vacant rooms because I was curious about the characteristic of the other room. Every room is attractive. He was so kind. Also he gave me important information about changed train time to ella and I could get on the train next day. A little distant from bus terminal. But it's worth! Feel the quiet peace in this hotel. Oh! Breakfast is warm and yummy.”

“What a wonderful little home-stay! If you're after somewhere quiet, yet still close to the centre of Nuwara Eliya, this spot it perfect. No frills, just a comfortable room at an affordable price. Only a short walk to food options (Royal Wok does an excellent biryani). It might be a little hard to find, but message Saman (e.g. via WhatsApp) and they'll collect you from wherever you need - even as far as Colombo airport! Andrew's Lodge is a great option for anyone looking to break up the trip...
