“This nice motel by a lovely creek has great beds (not too hard, not too soft) and quality soaps and shampoos. Breakfast from 8 to 10am includes fresh strawberries and blueberries, oranges, apples, pears, and bananas, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins and toast. Coffee was good plus orange juice and milk were available. And if you are so inclined, fresh baked chip cookies were also available. Service was personal and friendly. “Room very clean and beds extra comfortable. Lots of small decorating features for a motel and gardens on grounds were extra beautiful. Rooms themselves felt older but with new furnishings. Overall a comfortable stay.”

“The price is right. The property is not maintained well. It wouldn’t take much effort to improve it - tidy up and mow/weed wack. The staff was very nice and explained things well. The room was clean and the bathroom was remodeled. The air conditioner worked well. The town is a great place to find food, shops, and history - very quaint.”

Other hotels offer this for free to watch cable. A manual or directive instructing clientele on paper/ laminated would be helpful as the older generation do not all have smart phones and are lost as we can’t view hotel instructions via phone. “Older strip type motel. That said room was clean and bed was comfortable. It was good for a couple of days that I stayed. No breakfast available at motel though they did give me a discount coupon to bar/resturant next door. ”

“The door handle and door mechanism in my room was covered in dust. The door to the bathroom had a hard time closing because it was warped. There was a large stain on the rug. There was a spider on the curtains. I left after one night of a two night stay.”

We stayed in Remember Baker’s room which had a porch and that was really nice. The property is adorable but needs TLC. “Innkeeper is friendly and the place was fairly clean. Lovely to have coffee and complimentary breakfast on site. Rooms (especially the bathrooms and baseboard heaters) are somewhat dated and could use a refresh. Visited during a chilly time of the year and thermostat was tricky to operate. Heat was set not to go above 75 degrees, which was less than ideal.”

“Rooms were clean and staff was helpful, however, atmosphere felt like Section 8 housing. Smoking was done right outside my room and I was watched constantly by people from their rooms. There were no cars in the parking lot, but many arguments there during daylight hours. Not a comfortable place overall.”
