"We were in a two bedroom suite and loved all the space. We enjoyed being on the beach but also loved being able to walk out to numerous restaurants and shops. We rented a golf cart two days and got to experience more of the island visiting Punta Sur, Garrafon de Castillo and Kin Ha Beach Club. We loved the island and would definitely stay at Hotel Ixchel again."

"This is a wonderfully private and quiet resort! There are bars and things to do close by but it felt like you were a world away from the business of North Beach. I liked the food was made fresh to order, no buffets of picked over food!"

"My family of four stayed in the two bedroom suite and from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The shuttle from the airport was easy, the reception was warm, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The location to the beach is very convenient and the breakfast was wonderful. The beds in the turquesa room were too firm, but that was the only complaint! The front desk was helpful with any questions we had."

"This property is absolutely gorgeous and makes you truly feel like you're away from the worlds worries. Its away from the central area so its much quieter and easier to sleep. The breakfast offered was delicious, fresh and very generously portioned. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the offer of luggage storage was amazing for exploring the island after check out the next morning. Would definitely stay here again."
