Great B&B on the Isle of Skye

Our hosts were wonderful, cooking up a great breakfast each morning, and offering valuable suggestions for travel locations around the island and also food recommendations. Our room was good sized, cleaned, quiet, and convenient. The Apple Maps location was a bit off, but we sent in corrections for it.

This is a must-stay place in Skye. The place is quaint and quiet, with excellent, modern, and well-appointed rooms. Not enough good things can be said about Greg and Ann, who were managing the place when we were there. They took incredible care of us. What we felt was above and beyond for a BnB seemed perfectly normal for them. Can't recommend Skye Lodge enough for a place to recharge and see everything Skye has to offer!

Great place to stay on Skye

The Isle of Skye is glorious, and our host, Douglas, even arranged for the clouds to burn off letting the sun shine in. The B&B is very nice, with several good, accessible restaurants nearby... a much better base than Portree. The only difficulty was finding the place, even using navigation. Coming from the east, it's a left turn, then quick right on a small road just before the gas station in Dunvegan. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Visit, Excellent Hosts

We stayed 2 nights at the Skye Lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Greg and Anne. The lodge sits in the most beautiful place. The pictures online don’t do it justice. It really is gorgeous. Greg greeted us like family when we arrived and enthusiastically explained the lodge and its amenities. The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Our bathroom was modern with a heated mirror and the shower was awesome. Anne’s breakfasts are excellent and, as another couple there told us, you won’t leave hungry. The coffee from their Jura coffee maker was just as excellent. Greg and Anne were very helpful with tips on where to go or what to see. There are restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance. We’d highly recommend the Skye Lodge in Dunvegan. You won’t regret it.

Amazing little getaway

Our stay at Skye Lodge was exceptional. The location was perfect, right next to a few tourists attractions in Dunvegan. Ellie was a lovely host and did a fantastic job while we were at the lodge. The lodge is very modern. quiet and has everything you'll need. There was even umbrellas for ecah person something we didn't plan. The breakfast served is of amazing quality with a lot of options. And sets you right up the a full day of adventure around the island.

Quiet, charming, modern, worth it!

Modern conveniences but still holding the Scottish charm. Breakfast was amazing. Definitely let them cook the traditional haggis and black pudding as any restaurant just didn't compare.

Lovely Stay

We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very kind and served a wonderful breakfast. We booked a sea view room but didn’t quite understand how small the room was for that upgrade or that the en-suite was across the hall. Had we known we may have booked differently. Still it was a lovely visit and great location for The Isle of Skye.

Great location! Scotland books said to stay in Portree, so glad we stayed in Dunvegan instead. We could walk to The Old Schoolhouse restaurant, which was so yummy and great atmosphere. Also a quick taxi ride to The Three Chimneys restaurant. Skye lodge booked the taxi for us ahead of time. Always make reservations for restaurants ahead of time. Our room was so comfortable and a great size with a view of the Loch. Newly renovated house, super nice design inside. The bedding and shower were excellent. Parking was easy. This was the most comfortable B&B we’ve stayed in. Loved Shireen. She was very prompt with communication and very helpful.
