"The hotel was everything a person could ask for: very helpful staff and a clean environment. The only thing I can say, which the hotel cannot help, is that the walls are so thin. You can hear other doors opening and closing across the hallway. The people above us were very loud on our first night, but the second night was nice and quiet. I would stay at a Holiday Inn in the future."

"I would avoid staying at this property if I could. I stayed two nights over memorial day weekend. On Saturday, my key never worked to get me into the property. Every time I went to the front desk for help, the attendant told me I must have touched something with the key that demagnetized it and offered no permanent solution. This alone would not be very notable if not for the fact that when I returned on Saturday night, their entire electronic key system was down. There were 40-50 people in the lobby around 9:30 p.m. and it was quite noisy. I asked the front desk attendant if she could let me into my room. She asked if I was checking in. I said, no I checked in the previous day and my things were in my room. Could she please help me? She said no. I said and waited an hour. I returned to the front desk and asked what I could expect. She told me to get another hotel. I said what about my things? She said, oh I thought you wanted to check in. I can get you in with my master key. Upon checkout, I explained everything that happened and asked the hotel to comp my stay. They refused and blamed the night attendant for being a new employee, which seemed inaccurate and unfair to me. This hotel is not responsive to the needs of its guests. You can find better places to stay in Des Moines."

"We came to Des Moines for a little weekend get away, Farmer's Market and some shopping. This hotel was PERFECT for that purpose. It was so nice having the full size fridge to put our Farmer's market goodies in but also just a very roomy and comfortable room! Also, the staff was very accommodating and patient and kind. The free breakfast was AWESOME, especially if you have some dietary needs, delicious and healthy options. I also loved being able to park in the ramp with easy access to the hotel. Very nice place to stay, will definitely stay here again!"
