"The reception area was closed on a sunday 5pm? The hotel is undergoing renovation with fences all around and a portable toilet outside. Was not even able to get into my room. The phone number on the site did not get any response after dozen of tries. This is probably a good hotel during the school year since its close to the uinversity but for the summer it looks like I was going to be the only guest and was not even able to get in!"

"Zum Schlafen ist es ok. Man darf für das Geld keine hohe Erwartungen haben. Wenn man auf der Matratze liegt spürt man jede Feder. Es ist Hellhörig und laut, das Bad eine Plastikkammer und sehr eng. Im Flur riecht es sehr muffig. Aber es war sauber und dass ist mir mit der wichtigste Punkt. Für eine Nacht kann man dort mal schlafen, für mehrere Tage oder wenn man etwas bequemeres möchte sucht man sich doch lieber was anderes. "

"I recently stayed at Hotel Adler in Rudolstadt and was impressed by its unbeatable location—right in the city center, just steps from the main square, the train station, and the stunning baroque Heidecksburg Castle. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building dating back to 1880, which adds a lot of character and charm to the experience. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the style of the period while still offering modern comfort. There is parking available, which is a great convenience if you’re traveling by car. One downside is that the rooms are not air-conditioned, which can be a bit uncomfortable in hot weather. However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. Overall, Hotel Adler is a great choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere with character and a central location in Rudolstadt."
