Everything was fine with my stay up until the day before checkout when I was notified by my bank of a second charge on my credit card after I already used my card in their card reader when I first arrived at check in.
DO NOT pay there, pay through Expedia instead. There is STILL a hold (pending) on my credit card for the day I first checked in and used their card payment reader. They claimed they don’t have a pending on their end and that it’s completed yet I still have BOTH a hold AND a completed transactions on my bank account. So TWO separate transactions were made. One from when I swiped my card and another one from their bank. The transaction from when I swiped my card is still pending while their bank made another transaction. It’s clear as day as they are TWO different amounts. They aren’t even the SAME!
My bank has confirmed that they do in fact still have a hold (pending) on my funds & they also have a completed transaction as well. I have showed them proof of the two transactions. I asked them to remove the hold and it still has yet to be done. My bank said only the merchant can release this hold on my funds yet they keep saying check with my bank.
This completely ruined my stay. Which is disappointing as I actually enjoyed the villa, area, etc.
I’ve travelled to so many other countries and have NEVER experienced this before.
