"Needed to get to the airport and chose this for the affordable price and proximity to Quarry Bank, a national trust property. Room was basic but had what I needed, good bedding and water pressure/heat plus a nice tea/coffee setup. The walk through the nearby woods by the river was wonderful and I enjoyed a swim and jacuzzi in the morning at the attached leisure Centre. "

"I stayed in two different rooms in my time here as I was meeting relatives that was over from Ireland, and also staying in the hotel, the first room was a lot bigger with a bath than the second that just had a shower. I did notice that the room could have done with some complimentary bottles of water and some better tea and coffee options, something I have noticed that hotels of the same price includes. The staff was always polite and helpful but was a little annoyed how we was asked to leave...

"Honestly this place is a hidden gem. The room was comfortable and relatively clean(the kettle was a little dusty) but apart from that I was satisfied with the room. Bed was comfy. There is also a good sized swimming

on site, didn’t get a chance to use it due to time constraints but it looked good. The breakfast was nice it was a buffet style continental and full English. You can order eggs through the staff who will bring it out to you. And my number one perk was that there was a Starbucks...

"We had an excellent stay at the Grade 2 listed Britannia Palace! While the room is certainly compact it was clean throughout and suited our needs just fine for an overnight stay. Suzanne on reception was super friendly and helpful and talked me through how to register my car - car parking was free for 24 hours from when we arrived. The swimming

and steam room were also a welcome addition for what was a very affordable price! "
