This is where life long Florida people should stay to fully enjoy a real trip to the keys. Beautiful bungalows, immaculate bathrooms and linens, attentive staff, well kept. We spent the 2 nights before at the giant expensive Faro Blanco in marathon and the room was dirty, there was zero air conditioning in the corridors. We wonโt be staying anywhere else but the Pelican for all of our keys cations!!
We had an amazing experience! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our cottage was right on the beach with a beautiful view, within walking distance to lots of good restaurants and shops! Highly recommend the Pelican Cottages!!
This was supposed to be just a stop on our way to Key West, but we really enjoyed it. Adorable little room and right on the water. We could go sit on the docks in the evening it was beautiful. Added bonus was a cute tiki bar right next door!
Private beach with swimming and fishing. 3 piers to fish from. Free kayaks available we wish we would have taken advantage of that.
My 5 year old nephew literally stayed in the crystal clear water till just after 9 pm playing. A manatee swam probably 25 feet from him while he played at one point.
The a/c was cold. Shower didnโt have a ton of pressure but that seems to be a norm at hotels and motels for us lately. Bed was comfy for the most part. I didn't wake up hurting so thatโs good.
Staff were friendly. People at the beach we encountered were very friendly. They are cute little duplex style motel stays. If we had anyone in the room next to us we never heard them.
Each room has parking at their door best I could tell. I would stay again.
If you are snooty or expecting fancy or resort style this probably isnโt for you. This is more of a laid back casual stay for someone who doesnโt mind the more basic or simple stays.
