“Caravogue House is a lovely gem in Trim. It’s within walking distance to town center and trim castle. The house itself is lovely and has private off street parking. Everything was very clean and the owners are super friendly. We had a family room which was perfect for us and our two teenaged children. Private bathroom with a great strong and hot shower. Breakfast was made to order and tasted amazing. It was a perfect place to stay before heading to the airport the next morning. A perfect wrap up...

“We had a few issues with the room- no hot water in the morning, unable to turn off one of bedside lights other than by taking out the bulb, faulty coffee machine. However what was much more important to us was the prompt and efficient way in which the manager dealt with our problems. Five stars for that!”

“Staff were excellent , very friendly and helpful . Room good size and clean but very cool and installed radiator didn’t seem to work . Bed was too hard for my taste . Breakfast start time of 7.3O was too late for my required departure time to catch ferry .”

“We loved our visit to Lough Bawn and the beautiful grounds surrounding. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with owner Verity and the breakfast was delicious. We recommend this to anyone considering a peaceful visit in the area. We wish we could have stayed longer. ”

“The hotel is under renovation so understand few things might not be perfect. The staff are lovely. The rooms are spacious beds are comfy and it quite too at night. The breakfast you need to order from menu than a buffet. Very nice fresh and tasty pastries too. Have juice bar & can order coffee. You will feel at home. No smoke smell etc. Too. Ample parking available. Overall a nice hotel to stay.”

“The standard of accomodation came as a great surprise. Everything was immaculate. Very spacious beautifully decorated bedrooms. Very friendly and helpful host Orla made check in flawless. Would definitely recommend. Continenal breakfast had lots of choice from beautiful fresh berries and other fruits, fresh yogurts, cereals, and a selection of breads,jams etc very good.”

“My stay would've been great. However, I booked a king sized bed and paid for it through Expedia and was given a room with a double bed. When I called the front desk on arriving at my room to find a double bed I was told that there were no king beds available. They made no offer of compensating me for the price difference. No attempt whatsoever to try to satisfy our complaint. A full-blown bait & switch. Reading the fine it basically says that they can give you whatever room they want and...

“This is our second time at this establishment. Very clean and up-to-date cottage. The shower was wonderful and the bed, comfortable. Very quiet area on a working farm with cows & sheep.”
