"This was my first visit to York and the Ryedale cottages was the best place to stay while in the area. The house is lovely with comfortable beds, clean linens, and loads of games to play as a family. There are miles of walking trails and some cheeky sheep to see up the road.
The view from the front of the house was beautiful and the hosts were so lovely. We arrived with a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and a Victoria sponge on the table waiting for us.

Staff communicated through phone when we had to postpone and change first day of stay, Donna was very accommodating changing our arrival day also resending our code details, very efficient and replying by return. The spa is wonderful, we used the facilities each day of our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated in Helmsley. It is opposite the Cleveland way, we walked to Rievaulx Abbey and back with was a lovely walk.
