"This hotel is truly like stepping into another world. The service is impeccable, the room we had was gorgeous and superbly clean. We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai.
All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a touch of classic Japan in Kyoto!"
"First time in Kyoto and we had the best time in this traditional feeling Japanese ryoken. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Their restaurant was traditional, inexpensive and very yummy. No complaints at all, would go back!!! Immaculate gardens around the property, good coffee shop on the parking lots, convenience store close by, close to a major bus route. Absolutely breathtaking neighborhood."

"This was my second time staying here, I really enjoyed it. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful with any questions. This hotel does luggage delivery as well. The location is good, far from any noise but close enough to walk to the main area and nishiki market. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable. For solo travelers its very spacious. Air conditioning works well. The bathrooms are pretty big as well. In the main lobby there is a water and ice machine."
"This hotel was great! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're traveling to Kyoto. It was a 5 minute walk from the train station and there was a bus stop directly across the street. Furthermore, the staff were incredible and the hotel was always clean. It felt amazing coming back to the hotel after a long day sightseeing or shopping. The entry way smelled great and the complimentary drinks were a nice perk. "
"I liked the fact that they offered free shuttle service to the subway which also ran like clockwork on time to the subway. I wish I was better able to navigate back to the drop off/pickup point to return to the hotel. Thankfully the taxi fare was only ¥900 or $6 to return.
I loved the gym and took full advantage of that amenity, my previous hotel in Tokyo changed $15/day to use. "
"Great location and friendly staff. The only drawback is that some people using the onsen are unable to read, not understanding that they need to shower before entering the onsen. Otherwise, perfect."
