Excellent breakfast and central location was excellent. Next to karawanachi street so easy to get on public bus. Walking distance to nishiki market. Large rooms with portable refrigerator a plus.

This Cross Hotel in Kyoto exceeded all expecations for what a hotel should be. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and greeted when we saw them. The lobby, hallways, and rooms look super clean and new. The breakfast buffet was the best we've had in all of Japan. Bedding was the best we've had among all the hotels we stayed in Japan. We enjoyed this hotel Kyoto so much that we extended our planned stay by 2 days. Felt like we were home here. Huge thank you to the fellow at the front desk who advised us to take the Hankyu trains from Kyoto to Osaka instead of getting back on the Shinkansen. Only wish was a laundry facility but there's a public laundromat 1 block away. For reference, we had room 315

The property is in a great location, very walkable and felt very safe. The room was very nice, and large compared to other hotel's we stayind while in japan. The bathroom was very large with a separate bath and shower.. the beds and linens were comfortavle.

The location is perfect. 5-minute walk from a major subway station and 15 minutes from Gion.There are tons of restaurants within a block. Exquisite details on the room. Best hotel I stayed in Japan out of the 5 hotels I stayed on. Highly recommended.
