The hotel is clean overall and easily accessible to public transportation and walking distance to popular areas. However, the vanity hot water tab didn’t work properly, you have turn it half way to get hot water, if you turn it all the way up, you will only get cold water. Also the hot water facility in the lobby is useless, I asked the front desk who suggested you have to wait for a couple minutes, 5 mins down the track all I got was room temperature water. If you don’t mind all above, it’s not a bad hotel.

The hotel is great! We had to switch hotels because the other one we were staying at had a very musty smell and the AC wasn’t working properly. This was a last minute change and ae couldn’t be happier. The rooms are small but very effective. Very comfortable and practical. The staff is the nicest and the breakfast options were also great. The location is perfect and walkable to lots of main places like the nishiki market and Gion. Very happy with the stay!

Room layout is really good, making stay with two kids very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is a great value. Fitness center was very well equipped and not over crowded. Everywhere was clean. Laundromat is very useful and secure. Would defintely stay here again when visiting kyoto.
